Accidental keto desert discovery!
I was trying to make (a ghetto) version of this recipe…chocolate covered almonds.
…I threw a table spoon of coconut oil in a mug and microwaved until melted. Then I stirred in one scoop of dark chocolate protein powder and stirred. I thought I needed more liquid so I threw in a tablespoon oh water and, of course, it hardened a bit. So being the idiot that I am…I popped the mixture back in the microwave for 20 seconds to "melt the chocolate" again. Of course there was not really any chocolate in my cup and the mixture had cooked into an almost cake like mixture. I'm lazy so I threw in the almonds stirred it up and took a bite. It was GLORIOUS. Perfect amount of sweetness, texture and self-saucing like liquid. I have no idea the nutritional info but here's the ingredients again…
1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1 tablespoon coconut oil 10 almonds
